brandi hitt - abc news - des moines, iowa. its estimated 80- thousand nevadans will have signed up for health insurance once the january 31st deadline passes. by all accounts this year's enrollment period has gone better than the past two years. however nevada may be changing enrollment again for 2000-17. for the past two years nevada has used the federal network to enroll residents in health insurance plans that are federally subsidized. however there is word now that the feds are going to charge states additional money to use their system for the 2000-17 enrollment. and its going to cost nevada. bruce gilbert, silver state health insurance exchange: so its a very significant sum of money, depending upon enrollment, it could be as much as nine-million dollars. gilbert says the state exchange is looking for one would be joining with another state with a proven track record to enroll residents. no final decisions have been made on the federal side or the state side of this issue. the silver state health insurance exchange board
