a breeze showing up in parts of kent county and certainly a sea breeze down at ocean city where it is now 52 degrees, they're coming in off of the chilly ocean water. we will keep an eye on this storm passing south of us that they try to get some cirrus clouds to appear. a huge temperatures spread. 44 at the inner harbor. and much cooler night in the outlying suburbs. that is the storm to the south, kind of ominous looking. this does not appear to be taking the turn up the coast. it will stay farther south and to move out to sea. it will allow high pressure to the north to dominate the weather pattern. up towards wilmington, north carolina at, rather than producing a little bit of clout it is just to the south, it keeps the storm much further south. we look at dry conditions of across baltimore and the mid- atlantic and saturday morning. slicing south of chicago, that will reach baltimore and come -- bring an end to the late winter early spring weather. 64-69 with light when that 5-10. mid upper 60's around the bay except for right on the shore where it will be chillier. down in ocean

in northwest washington, 54 degrees with a light southeasterly breeze. officially at reagan national today, 41 the morning low. interestingly, the middle of march, some wild stuff, 1945, 80 degrees on this day, and back at the turn of the last century, 1900, 13 degrees. by the way, with the warmer temperatures, the pollen count is back. we are going to see lots of this in the next month or so, high tree pollen. you see all of the buds in the trees coming out. it is definitelyigns of spring. 50's in the city for the most part, but the suburban areas are in the 40's, and elkins had 38 degrees. most of the mid-atlantic is in fine shape. down at the georgia/south carolina/florida border, some showers, but the animations we have been watching tending to head back to the south again. that is because of the strong high-pressure in control. we may see some high clouds south of the metro area, a staffer, southern maryland, but it will not be much of the feature at all -- south of the metro area, stafford, southern maryland. milder temperatures will continue as lo

we did have a significant breeze out of the northwest and that is better, gusts to the 19 and 23 milesour range and earlier they touched on that and as the storm pulls away, the winds are lighter and lighter through the night. mainly clear skies and high cloudiness later tonight. the storm system is going to approach our areas and is producing snow and coming out of colorado and into the texas panhandle. a line of severe weather here and this is the system that will eventually materialize into a frontal system and bring us some rain in the very late thursday night, friday time period and let's check out our max hd future cast. we got a few high, thin clouds we were watching through the night and tomorrow morning into the afternoon. we're still talking about clouds with some sunshine getting through and maybe you don't need to take your umbrella to work tomorrow. looks like 7:00, a couple of showers through pennsylvania and for the rush hour, looks like the rain is here and we might get heavier periods and we're talking about the possibility of perhaps a half an inch to an inch of rain

one cool spot was out towards the bay, putuckson river only 68 degrees because of a bay breeze kicked chilly bay waters, only in the 40s, kept the air temperatures down but out towards the blue ridge, front royal high temperature today 76 degrees and then to the east of us over on the eastern shore, salisbury mid 70s there as well. so just everybody enjoyinthis nice weather. right now 60 currently at national airport. and fairfax. and loudon counties still looking at the low 60s. cool spot over in the frederick area and over down toward the virginia piedmont but again looking at the cool nights but warm afternoons one more day. here we go, lots of warmth across the entire east coast. you can see the departures from the past 24 hours, we're up 12 degrees in raleigh. two degrees here in the district so a lot of warmth confined to the east coast. that's all compliments of clear skies. a few high to midlevel clouds. but not impacting our temperatures a lot. starting to get its act together across the west of arkansas. it's a slow move so it will take its good old time to get in here. pump

a warm breeze, and then rain and showers thursday night, early on friday.like a quick hitter. gets out of here friday morning, but back in the mid 50s on friday. even with sunshine on saturday, we are in the upper 50s. okay, viewer pick. brian sent this. brian works here. he was near the appalachian trail, about 2800 feet and there were still patches of snow around the appalachian trail, kind of cool. even though it was 75 degrees when he was hiking. he actually made that snow man. the scale is only about that big, but pretty cool having snow still around after temperatures in the 70s and we are in mid march. tonight, partly cloudy and chilly. winds will become light. they will diminish. temperatures are still very nice. these temperatures are about 7 degrees above average for this time of year. 65 in arlington, fairfax, reston, 66 in sterling and mid 60s out in leesburg. now, lows tonight primarily in the 40s. some folks will be in the upper 30s, but primarily 40s. 40 in gaithersburg, mid 40s downtown. 43 over at andrews and mid 40s as you go south on 95.
