that is if you like a strong sea breeze and low clouds.g back in across the bay inland into our inland locations. we will wake up to the low clouds. you can ethe sea breeze into livermore and southwest winds at 22 miles an hour. the humidity levels running higher as that marine air swinging inland. the satellite view, it doesn't show much in the way of high clouds. we had a few of those early this afternoon. on the satellite view, you really can't see too much of what's going on in terms of the upper air pattern. we switch to the water vapor view. you can see the trough offshore. it is the on that of high pressure with the jet stream anchored just to the north. this will promote a fairly strong sea breeze which will continue to keep the hot weather well off to the east. and it should keep the monsoon thunderstorms east of the sierra for tomorrow. that strong sea breeze will make for a very blustery day near the coast and push the low clouds inland. in fact, by let's say tuesday and wednesday. inland highs may not get out of the upper 70s.

not much of a sea breeze right now. heading into the afternoon. if you're heading the the as game later, 70s as the game gets started around 7:00. then upper 60s later in the evening. satellite view other than the low clouds around the bay area, not much going on in terms of thundershowers. but for areas south of yosemite today and a little further north as we go through the weekend as the moisture moves away from southern california, some of that could get close to the bay area by sunday night, at least bring more clouds our way. notice this trough approaching the west coast, this is going to increase the sea breeze, lead to cooling this weekend and perhaps push more of the smoke away from lake tahoe late in the holiday weekend. it will allow temperatures to cool down as we see more low clouds pushing inland by sunday and monday. today low clouds locally will hang out on the coast west of the golden gate. we do suspect we'll see sunny skies around santa cruz. we should see 80s in the forecast. also san jose in the 80s,

the sea breeze and fog is moving back in tonight. but just a hint of a sea breeze.field and livermore and the story tomorrow we're going to start off warmer than today and a hot day is expected in the bay area. many folks heading back to school tomorrow. campbell unified with temperatures in the 60s tomorrow. you don't need a thick coat. temperatures in the 90s in the afternoon. milpitas untied underway. mid- to upper-80s in the afternoon. look at all the lightning strikes. more than 300 in the sierra this evening. things tapering off a bit. it is going to make a turn to the west during the day tomorrow monday into tuesday. that will increase the chance of lightning-sparked fires. the reason for the red flag warning is that lightning occurs over dry and warm air. and things moisten up and we could see rain at times getting into tuesday morning. hour by hour, you can see the moisture coming to the bay area. look at the morning temperatures, mid- to upper-60s. increasing clouds heading into monday night. and things will turn calm by wednesday as the low tracks inland
