it will be a nice one with a nice breeze blowing in center city, but winds of change are headed into the night. the first alert has been issued for tonight and saturday for hazardous travel late tonight, overnight tonight and into saturday morning, especially. that's when we'll see accumulating snow that will mix with sleet and freezing rain before it changes over to rain. right now it is completely dry in the area. nothing to show you on the radar in the immediate area but the storm that is coming our way moved into parts of tennessee and are moving into the carolinas. the heaviest precipitation right now is in southern alabama and into the panhandle of florida. this morning it's cold. 22 now in potston. 27 in northeast philly dover and millville are in the 20s. but we'll see a good warm up during the day thanks to bright sunny skies. the sun is coming up with a temperature of 32 degrees at 9:00. upper 30s and climbing at lunchtime. but we have a storm tonight. i'll take you through it hour by hour with the future weather when i come back at 10 k go. right now it's a friday morning

a look at the flags flapping in the breeze high above center city. sheena parveen is here. how cold are we talking about tonight? >> when you talk about the jacqueline with the winds on top of the cold temperatures, we're talking about the feels-like temperature below zero degrees for much of the area. another thing we've been talking about are the snow squaulzlls. if you're in montgomery county you've seen this moving through. it's now moving into parts of burlington county. some of the snow squaulzlls approach. another one moving into philadelphia area and combined with high winds, gusting near 30 miles an hour. it's moving in from the northwest through parts of the lehigh value and we'll keep watching to see if it will keep redeveloping. high winds partly lake-effect snow. that's moving it through very quickly. if you do happen to see it it's fairly moderate snowfall. there's a lot of wind here too, and it will drop visibility for at least a period of time. aside from that we're talking about a lot of cold as we go through the rest of tonight into early tomorrow morning.
