let's bring in senior business correspondent brenda buttner. know sundays, what is going to happen tomorrow? we hear dire predictions but the market has been creeping back up. >> it has a bit. because it has been focused on the short term. friday, the euro zone ministers basically said, well for a little while, it looks like greece will be okay. but there's no absolutely no guarantees there will be a longer term resolution. despite the fact that our treasury secretary has been pushing for one. so, wall street is nervous about that. it is also very nervous about the president's jobs plans. for two reasons. some on wall street hope it will get through, because the stimulus might mean more money spent and that could mean better profits for companies. others believe that there is no way it can get through and it is going to mean more debt. there's a real -- it is polarizing wall street in many, many ways. watching washington right now, there's no certainty at all. so, wall street doesn't know what to think that's why you pretty much don't blink. yo

senior business correspondent brenda buttner is joining us live now with details. to watch closely? >> yes. you know, tropical storm lee may come no where near your home but it could still hit you hard at the pump. perhaps you faced no evacuations but already oil and gas companies have evacuated hundreds of workers in the gulf. they are off nearly 240 oil and gas production platforms and some two dozen drilling rigs shut down. about two thirds of current oil production in the gulf and half of natural gas production. this could definitely put the breaks on gulf energy production. how much a pain at the pump depends on the lent of the evacuations. more than a brief interruption could send evacuation numbers up and it might even hurt refiners. would increase the cost of a fillup. even though brent crude oil has been falling, gas prices are high. triple-a says the average price per gallon is the second highest ever for labor day weekend. prices were only higher in 2008. now, history shows that production shutdowns from tropical storms have fueled temporary spikes in ga
