students and teachers in the brentwood union school district returned to in-person learning this week. after three days there are multiple cases of coronavirus. here's the story. >> reporter: district superintendent of school says positive cases are among staff and students and spread out across the system's 11 campuses. a parent that did not want to speak on camera shared a letter from the principal at edna hill middle school. students here were last on campus, thursday july 29th. the nurses and student staff are doing contact tracing. the district did not detail how many of the cases are among students. brentwood union has elementary and middle schools so most of the students are not old enough to be vaccinated. the schools are in contra county's board of district. >> as we go forward, we are hearing east contra costa, where the vaccination rate has been low and the spread high recently, and we're seeing that we are going to have more probably outbreaks or exposures. >> one parent that did not want to use her name has a son in elementary school. >> it's expected. it's expected. it's
