"eyewitness news" reporter nicole brewer joins us at that scene in ogontz with the very latest information, nicole good morning. >> reporter: good morning to both of you yeah, just a sad scene here in the ogontz section of the city where a row home fifer has claimed the life of a military veteran with disabilities. it all happened here behind me in the 1800 block of roselyn street, ogontz section of the city. we're told fire started in the rear of that home and extended through much of the first floor despite having working smoke alarms. when fire fighters arrived they found a man in his 70's who appears to have been disabled. he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. that marks first and hopefully last fire fatality of the year. he was alone at the time of the fire but three family members have been displaced, a apparently they lived with him inside that home. at this point investigators have not released the official cause but say victim may have been cooking at the time. >> right now it appears that the origin is first floor kitchen area. we don't necessity for sure, we
