.: two down, here's brian roberts, his second at- bat.he swung at the first pitch in the bottom of the first, popped foul for the left fielder and he takes a strike. we were talking about brian roberts and willie harris both being drafted by the orioles in 1999. they were teammates in that 99 season and they each made their big league debut for the orioles in 2001. he was a shortstop still then and he came you and started at shortstop on june 14. willie was a september call up and he came up and started in center field. the tie between those two, as melvin mora still with the orioles, was in each of those games, the game willie started, melvin played shortstop. the game roberts started, melvin played center field. then after that season, the orioles traded willie to chicago for chris singleton, and willie went on to have some good years there. played for the braves, now with the mets. >> rob: and willie was an integral part of that world championship team in chicago. then picked up by the nationals after that. he's a great clubhouse guy.
