brian doherty is the senior editor of reason. he's been there for more than a decade and before that he was a journalist at the competitive enterprise institute but most importantly he started his career as an interned at the cato institute. in fact, i think we had five interns that semester and one was ryan and one was the distinguished scholar brian caplan who is here in the front row, so that was a pretty good record for that year's intern class. brian doherty returned as perhaps the youngest ever managing editor of regulation magazine before moving on to other editorial projects. he has been covering ron paul since 1999, which is obvious in this insightful and well researched book so please welcome the author of "ron paul's revolution," brian doherty. dot com i would recommend the book even if you weren't a colleague but ron paul's revolution by brian doherty is a good place to catch up on how they have been working it in this campaign and what what the game plan is now in the important thing here is that there is a large force of ron paul people they are not officially married it's more of a common law arrangement with the republican party so you know that there their needs have to be taken into account they talk about something serious they talk about a lot of things that are foundational to what america is what the united states of america is and they need to be taken seriously whether they will stay with the republican party is interesting and how they will behave now that you know spartacus himself is not on the battlefield it will also be interesting to see what do you think about rand paul's recent endorsement for romney. you know as ron paul always says we have discipline in our family but they don't they don't make the rules on who can do what it is neither an indicator for or against ron paul's own endorsement unclear how he's go
