we have not heard back. >> brian fallon, i want to show you what white house press secretary jen psakiwhat is already been named i guess the supreme court commission and the idea of expanding the court. >> is he misleading supporters of expanding the court? this would take a legislative change, not something he could change on his own. why doesn't he come out and say how difficult this would be. >> i think it's clear it's difficult. but the president's view on the expansion of courts has not changed. he also wants this group, this commission, to take a close look at a range of issues, not just court expansion, which is an important question for them to examine, but term limits and a range of questions the commission is looking at. i would also note, jeff, in the president's statement today he also made very clear in pretty strong terms his viewpoints on the ruling of the supreme court and this case. rulings like that do raise concerns, not just for the president but for people out there in the country about how the court is operating. >> brian fallon, i'll deal with the elephant in the

joining me now is brian fallon, the executive director of demand justice. , there's a lot on this president's plate and democrats as well. good evening to you, by the way. president biden is under immense pressure. his party is still divided. his agenda is on the line, and we have no idea how this is going to play out. how does biden pull this out? can he? >> well, i do think the biggest most popular part of his platform he campaigned in 2020 and it's big here is the r reconciliation passage is threatening to walk on this bipartisan deal. they're the ones that i think are holding the line on trying to make sure that biden's agenda gets enacted and democrats deliver on what they campaigned on in 2020, things like prescription drug price reform, things like raising taxes on the wealthiest americans in order to fund expansions of the medicare program and get started on confronting climate change. these are things the public overwhelmingly supports. and what you're seeing, ton, is some centrists in the democratic party that like to sort of performatively zig whe
