we'll bring in brian kelly of brian kelly capital. are you using this pull back to buy? >> am i?have my core position. at this point i think it's a great opportunity to buy, but i think the important thing, unfortunately for kolin, you have to understand keeping your money in any online wallet is like keeping in any company like bear stearns or lehman brothers except there's no protection. anything can happen. >> brian, when we were speaking about e-mails, you said what happens to mtgox shows the strength of this krip tow currency. why is that? just because it's still standing. because it's 500 something a bitcoin it's still an okay investment? >> look at it this way. let's compare it to lehman brothers, okay? when lehman brothers collapsed, basically the world financial system collapsed. if it wasn't for what the central banks have done we could have gone into something worse than the great depression. the largest bitcoin exchange in the world has collapsed yet the payment system goes on. you've had a price decrease and that hurts. the payment system, the technology still works,

we've also got brian kelly joining us for more on the day's trading action.phanie, first to you here, was this too far too fast for this snap back? that four-day win streak which was pretty strong. what do you make of the day's trading action? >> i was encouraged by the earnings we have gotten over the last day, day and a half. maybe not some household names like spx corp or packaging corp of america. those kind of companies i look to, but more importantly it's the underlying fundamentals and what these companies are saying and if you look at an spx, for example, they saw a revenue growth in the fluid power systems business. okay, so that translates into just the real nitty-gritty industrial companies, and i thought that was interesting. in addition, i thought the china data overnight was good. it kind of got played down. >> imports and exports rebounded. >> well better than expected. we had the bank of england increasing their gdp growth target for the year. >> better than 3%. >> we rallied off the 6.1% low we saw on the s&p last week. i think some of the da

our traders, team seymour, brian kelly, karen finerman and ben nathan. the s&p clocking in their best day of the year today. tim, what are you expecting tomorrow? it could be a very important report. >> i think you trade the market with a schizophrenic attitude right now. we're up 2% over the last three sessions. this is a market that seems to want to be selling on any bit of bad news. the economy, which i do think will show weather-related weakness tomorrow. and people are starting to refer to our data almost as they might in china, which no one believes anything. weather this or weather that. there's no question that the weather has impacted the numbers. if you look at the ism we got a couple days ago, a linchpin for a big move down earlier in the week, you saw some of the impact there. i think you have to be careful, today, in the eem, which had a nice bounce. emerging markets have been part of the resurgence. i think it's going to be difficult for assets to get through. that's a barometer for all risk ass assets. >> the part of the market that sold o

our traders are tim seymour, brian kelly, karen finerman and guy adami. should we feel panicked right now? guy? >> no. you shouldn't feel panicked. we have been talking for weeks how we thought we needed to trade down to 1760-1765. you got those levels. we talked about the potential for it to breach. i think 1725, the levels that we sold off from mid-september, is critical that we hold. i think we're going to test it. i do think the first time we get down there, we're going to bounce. i do think the market's broken. if that means you should panic, panic. i don't think you should be panicked. i think you should have a plan. we've done a good job navigating this one. >> karen, are you getting concerned about this point? a lot of people would look at the markets and look at what happened today. the s&p 500, not only did it fare poorly, it closed at a session low. it wasn't technically a good market, either. >> it wasn't. i guess i would like to see further confirmation to the data that was so damaging to the market today i think there's a lot of qualifiers t

let's go to brian kelly, founder of brian kelly capital and brian, ceo of msq management.e been debating tonight about the whole economy, is it the weather or were people just too euphoric overrating the economy? if you overrate the economy, you overrate the stock market and i'm wondering, as you look into your crystal ball for 2014, is that going to be a problem? is there economic overrating which means there is stock market overrating? >> yeah, i think so. in the beginning of the year i was in that camp of overrating the economy. i thought the biggest risks to the markets would have been an oil price spike or something like that. there is going to be an adjustment. we also have this emerging market problem going on. so far there hasn't been contagion. it's been contained to the political risk type of areas. if there is contagion, we've got a bigger problem. i was a little bit surprised the market wasn't stronger on that strong ism report. >> i think people wait for the jobs notice. let me ask you to follow up. we had last night on the show charles dalara, formerly treasu

i thought it was interesting that brian kelly said this is what our customers told us they want. is cold platform. also what brian kelley said, of green mountain, there would be other partners in the hot k-cups. it's not just coca-cola. would not name names. this was about the big deal with coke. he said, we're starting with coke. but he did say there will be a number of partners on this brand. no word on timing when this is actually going to roll out. and the other question mark that didn't get answered, an interesting one, what the role coke's bottlers will be in all this. he did say it will be complementary to this deal. there's a few things to watch out for as we continue to get details down the road. but both ceos very exited about this deal. and a whole, new category of drinking beverages. thinking of k-cups with cold, carbonated and noncarbonated juice drinks. >> sara. we'll check back with you if there's developments off of that conference call. >> when brian kelley first came on to green mountain coffee, it was thought, this guy's from coca-cola. the writing's on the wall

joining me now our very own sheila, and "fast money" trader brian kelly.markets? >> we've had a nice recovery off the lows. we're up 6% in the s&p off the lows in february. and we have to get through some things. the fed minutes, i didn't think there was anything there today. janet yellen basically told us last week they're very data dependent. we can parse through a few of the words that were said today but nothing material and again we are data dependent and the data hasn't been that good over the last couple weeks and it is trouble sonl because we don't know how much of this is weather and how much of it is not. now, i could paint us a positive spin on a couple of the data points, even the empire fed yesterday with the futures orders, that was encouraging. the architectural billings index today, that was encouraging. by and large, we've got to get through more data. >> it is true it seems a lot easier to tell who the winners and losers are in the near term in terms of the companies, restaurants, retailers affected by the weather as opposed to the econom

but brian kelly, green mountain's chronically underestimated ceo saw the weaknesses and thought big, partnering with coke to have a disruptive machine from the looks and the sound of it will be much easier to use and therefore better than soda stream. plus, coca-cola's international distribution can blow out the sales of the product. in one fell swoop it became a terrific draw. then american airlines, a company that not long ago was bleeding red ink. now that it's merged with u.s. airways, you can see how the company has been transformed. that's why when i picked up the paper today, lead story in "usa today" 49,000 flights have been cancelled. i no longer fear for american, even though at one time i should have been shorting it aggressively on the cancellations if i still ran a hedge fund. the airlines are a heck of a lot stronger, thanks to all that consolidation. hence the stock's conclusion on the 52-week high list, not the low list as you would have expected at one time. then there's aol. remember those guys? well, it had initially a positive, but then switched to a negative reac

i was on the call with muktar kent with brian kelly of green mountain.e are describing this deal. would you agree? >> i think it's too early to say that it's transformative right now, you know, if you look at what single-serve at-home coffee has done for the coffee business, it's a slightly different proposition within carbonated soft drinks. there is an at-home single-serve option it's a 12-ounce can. i think as we lk at this, it's another new channel to get back to the consumers. it's a way to maybe evolve but transformative seems strong from my perspective. >> on the new channel clearly over the past ten years north american soft drink sales have been declining. does this reinvigorate it? does it reignite it and what kind of opportunity is it for coke here in this new revenue channel? >> i don't think the carbonated soft drinks industry gets reignited from that stand point. the real issue there are so many options out there that didn't exist 10, 15 years ago, you have teas and coffees and juice drinks, et cetera. this actually will add to this. when y

but ceo brian kelly tells reuters can company can sign contracts with other cold drinkmakers, includingrival, pepsi co. the coke-green mountain deal comes as soda stream is making a push to get its machines into every u.s. kitchen. they have advertised in the past two super bowls. but soda stream has been under pressure amid competition and slowing growth. soda stream after hours, in frankfurt, down about 5.6%. green mountain soaring more than 40% in after hours. checking shares today, we'll bring that board up, shares up 45% in premarket trade. green mountain has been a favorite of short sellers. now most notably david einhorn. he's been critical of the company ever since devoting an hour-long presentation at the value investing congress more than two years ago, questioning its accounting and transparency. iron horn isn't commenting about the coke deal and it's unclear if he's still shorting the stock. back of to you, ross. have you had your coffee this morning, seema? >> i absolutely have. i can't start the day without it. >> tea, much better for you. steven, thanks for that. good to
