brian kelly, out to you. josh mentioned buybacks. was going to buy back in the first quarter. that had always been a floor underneath the stock. what's your general view here? >> that makes me more bullish that not everybody else is bullish. you have to look at ibm, one, the fact that they have financially engineered earnings for the last year they're probably the poster child for that. that is no longer being rewarred by the market. so when you look at ibm, you have to say what else is there out there that's going to boost those earnings and change those analysts minds? to me josh hit on it, analytics, watson. that's the future of the company. if you're buying ibm, you are making a bet that they're going to be able to pivot and watson will be their pivot point. >> it's all on watson. right now, isn't that a small percentage of revenue? everybody says cloud is where it's at. at the end of the day that's a small percentage of revenue. these are strategic growth initiatives. a lot of people saying she's overstretching and overpromising

. >> it's brian kelly. we do have one activist in this stock. do you see this as a bait for more activists like someone like carl icahn, something like that? >> a lot of the stuff activists wanted has been in that. after you can argue for a yahoo! japan spin. that's a smaller component. you can article for some m&a. i think those have been shot down for now at this point it's less clear what an activist can do. >> when you value at zero, nothing is really valued at zero. how do you really even come up with a real future plan for the core business? it seems like everyone is throwing it out. is there really anything of value there? >> yeah. our valuation is about six times ebida. in terms of what they can do, they're investing in the right areas. i think it's still early but if they can execute better and maybe make smaller acquisitions then they're headed back in the right direction. it's going to be tough. you're turning around a ship which is big on the display side which has been under pressure the last several years. and once they start to sl

the point sky founder brian kelly. thank you for coming in. it's a medical emergency here. what do you do in this situation? you're fine, all of a sudden you have that startling move. >> this was a really weird incident, in that multiple people were losing consciousness. medical emergencies happen all the time. planes have to land. the nurse who actually went to help the unconscious passenger started to lose consciousness herself. it spread throughout the plane. tell the flight attendant, stay buckled in. the oxygen mask should have dropped down. it didn't. lori: this was a fluke. was it an error with the plane, or were these people sick on their own? >> the details are emerging. the airline is not accepting responsibility. it sounds like a mechanical situation. multiple people were losing -- the oxygen mask should have dropped down in that situation. the pilots got the plane down to a level where people could breathe. it could have been worse. lori: the lesson is to keep your seat belt on at all times. >> exactly. especially when there's stuf

our traders tonight are tim seymour, brian kelly, karen finerman and guy adami. google volatile and higher in the after-hour session. guy adami, opex 35% of revenue this quarter versus 37% of revenue in the previous quarter so down. >> that's what tim was talking about. that's the reason. it's hard to find another reason why the stock would be higher other than the fact that it's probably cheap, and other than the fact that i think people sold into this expecting a worse core. typically what happens is you do the inverse of what the stock is doing in earnings and we got this one right. now it's imperative the stock takes out the $600 level-ish that we topped out in 2013 or 2014 excuse me. welcome back karen. >> i think guy hit on it. it wasn't as bad as it could have been or as bad as people thought or as bad as stocks have been reflecting. it's had a real not good run in the last month or so and with the antitrust charges i think that maybe was the final straw for a lot of people so it could have been worse, and the bar was set low, so here we are up 25 bucks. >

. >> it's brian kelly.'m curious, what we've seen happen in the market, when yields rise, equities tend to sell off. people are concerned about that. so why would you rather be in equities if you think bonds are going, ten-year bonds are going to 225? >> right. well, i think that if you think about -- if you think about where we are in the economic cycle, we think that the economy is strong in the u.s., consumers are strong, corporations are strong, housing is strong. we've seen real economic progress. and equities have not been the recipient of a tremendous amount after flows to, you know, to corroborate that. bonds have received far more knows over the cycle than equities and we think there's probably a bit of catch-up yet to come combined with the strong fundamental the. >> heather, it's tim. in terms of flows and other places you're allocating, what do you think about globals? reversion of the mean trades says europe has been underallocated over the last 12 months, emerging markets over the last four ye
