"today in the bay's" brian mooar is live with a look at what the candidates are doing now. >> good morning. well, it has been a really good and really bad week for mitt romney. he ran through this gauntlet of the other candidates specifically newt gingrich and rick perry, attacking his business record. his campaign has put out a response ad calling those attacks desperate. they weren't effective in raising the other candidates up. and in fact, they alienated the candidates from a lot of the republican leadership who asked them to tone these attacks down. and while gingrich and perry are not apologizing, they are doing exactly what they have been asked to do. the problem now is all of these candidates have to look for a way to come up with some sort of winning message that drowns out romney's at this point. but there's a problem that romney has. he is trying still to connect with those conservative voters especially the evangelical social conservatives and convince them that he is conservative enough. mitt romney has iowa and new hampshire under his belt. he isn't in a posit
