with apologies to fred mc murray and our younger viewers, we are calling this , my three sons.kirk, with his boys brian, james and steve. friday, senior day, kirk and centerfield and meet steve it is really powerful and bittersweet. i am sure it will be an emotional moment for me. it sure was for james in 2012. you try to hold it together then james ferentz got the gene i got from my dad so he was in tears 80 yards away. the oldest boy, brian played his final home game in 2005. the day before he introduced his dad at the johnson county i brian is a great speaker..that is one thing he does really well. steve was there that day, but does not remember it... 6 years earlier steve was present and accounted for when he is dad was hired as the iowa coach. his memories? he got hired dec5. my birthday is dec 4 so i remember we had a little birthday celebration in our watching his brother brian play for the hawks...and then brother james wore the black and gold. naturally, steve followed suit as a walk on. you came in as a tight end and they shifted you to center. did you assume that was going to happen? i am su
