brian duffy. >> first, let's get a check on the forecast. meteorologist sam roberts is in the first alert weather center to tell us that it's not as bad as it was yesterday. >> samantha: not at all. there is a little snow out there. but it's not wide sprez or hef as this time yesterday morning, so even though you may see a few flakes flying, i don't think it will have big impacts on your drive at all. it's 27 right now in the city of cleveland. you're looking live over 480. you can see that the roads look good from this vantage point, although there's light snow out there. here it is on the radar. it's all moving east. akron, canton, dover is dry. soon we'll be dry in cleveland, and it will all be out to the east. here it is now, lake county, summit county and ashtabula. some steadier snow around euclid, wickliffe and willoughby. this extending down to the south to stark county, portage and back into summit county. there's still light snow. as you travel towards youngstown, we're dry but you'll have snowshowers on the way. your school forecast looks like this. 20s ea

brian: it could be icy. it got really cold. we'll get to sam roberts with the latest from the first alert sam. >> samantha: week jeopardy looks great, but until then a cold day. let's go straight to the maps. i want to show you where that lake-effect out there. the lake, you know, is still relatively warm water, not much ice, either. a lot of moisture to work with, and, of course, it's very cold. you can see that that snow is coming in from the north and west mainly impacting our west side communities and inland. out to the east it's actually pretty quiet. ashtabula, lake, geauga counties just kind of flurry stuff, trumbull county same thing. you start to go farther west and we're down 71, and that's where the snow picks up for us. so i'm willing to bet those delays are courtesy of the snow that you see out here and then the fact there may be slick spots as well. our road surfaces unlike this time yesterday have dropped below freezing. you know, this time yesterday the road temperatures were still pretty mild. so we weren't seeing a lot of issues with
