i'll turn to brian stelter. the weekend was interesting. we saw donald trump go off the rails about the new york times article about his campaign in crisis. i want to look at the points made in the article. we have parts of the article saying the failing new york times is a newspaper of fiction. the stories about me nonexistent and unnamed sources. he is claiming a lot of the sourcing in the piece which was anonymous, he is claiming, was downright false. some of the claims made in the article pretty darn stunning. one of them basically saying trump is exhausted. they describe the nominee exhausted and frustrated and fine willed by the political process and his incendiary approach. these are not the things you want to see a few weeks before labor day. >> trump is denying he is sullen. he is saying he is in the fight and running for president. the fact he had to refute the story is significant. the times with 20 different sources. some on the record. the trump campaign has not asked for corrections. that tells me the meat of the story is true
