cnn's chief media correspondent brian stelter joining me right now. o make. you know, what do you make of this stimulus package, where it stacks up on the headlines of newspapers across the country? >> right. it is an unprecedented rescue package, likely just the first of several that will come, but it is being over shadowed because of the scale and scope of the crisis. as our colleague has been saying, this is a 50-state disaster. i went through all the nation's front pages, especially smaller papers that some people have never even heard of from alaska to maine to wisconsin to california, etcetera. really just today it is stark, just today, just saturday, how many front pages are leading news about the first death in that community or region, from the kennebunk journal reporting the first death there in maine to michigan, the traverse city record eagle saying the first death in that region. louisiana, five deaths in that area in that part of louisiana, nebraska, wisconsin, and even alaska, fred. alaska just saw its first in-state death two hours ago

also brian stelter, juliette kayyem. elizabeth, i want to start with you. question first of all, a couple of questions on the testing itself. one thing the president said is that he said this is a complex test. number one, is it complex? and number two, in terms of the president getting that test, we heard in the briefing that if you get a negative test, you could get a positive test the next day. is there a chance that he might need to take a second test just to be sure? >> i'll take the first one first. it's not a particularly complex test at all. this test is being given in parking lots and drive-throughs. there's nothing particularly complex about this. we test for viruses in this country whether it's flu or anything else all the time. so i don't know what he meant when he said that it was complex. and as far as whether he should be tested again, you know, that's -- it's an interesting question. i would say that he should talk to his doctor about this, but his doctor just last night said he didn't need a test at all, and then the president got tested. s
