brian todd is taking a closer look at that for us. what are you finding out, brian?at did "fortune" magazine report? >> wolf, this investigation by cnn's partner "fortune" magazine, dissects the fast and furious program and reveals what it says are distortions in media reports and accusations by media of congress. the atf did not intentionally allow guns to walk into mexico as an operational tactic. five law enforcement agents involved in the program tell "fortune" that it was just the opposite. they seized weapons whenever they could, but they were hand strung by weak laws and prosecutors who often insisted they didn't have enough evidence to wiretap or to bust people. now, what really blew up this case, the murder of this man, brian terry. he was 40 years old. a detroit area native, a former u.s. marine, part of an elite border patrol unit that was attacked by mexican bandits on december 14, 2010. terry was killed in that attack. we have some pictures of the scene right here. he was killed in that attack. and the bandits left two semi-automatic weapons at the scene
