kron 4's brian van aken has been tracking the forecast. brian, any relief in site when it comes to these temperatures? >> brian: after a wet and windy sunday, we are returning to a dry and cool weather pattern for the coming week. the last of the showers are winding down for this sunday evening. look for skies to clear overnight and temperatures to drop into the 30s for most locations away from the coast and bay. monday will start out with sunshine and cold, brisk winds. clouds increase into the afternoon as a weak disturbance slides down the coast. any rain with this system, however, is forecast to stay to the north or out over the ocean. tuesday morning will also be crisp and clear with 30s. a few spots in the north bay and east bay valleys may drop below freezing. same goes for wednesday morning. the pacific storm track will be positioned to our north for this week, so the next few storms coming through wednesday and thursday should only produce scattered clouds here. all the precipitation is forecast to be up on the california north coa

kron 4's brian van aken has been tracking the forecast. brian, certainly no drones flying today in that rain? >> reporter: we had a little bit of light rain to start off the day sunday. rainfall amounts were pretty light.just a few hundredths of an inch south and east of the golden gate. totals were a bit higher in the north bay with reports approaching a quarter-inch in the valleys and more than a half-inch across the hills. the storm track is retreating northbound for monday and tuesday, making for a return to dry weather. we will have fairly high humidity near the surface, so we'll be dealing with foggy mornings through midweek with very low visibility at times. morning clouds will be slow to clear, but i think sunshine should make an appearance both monday and tuesday afternoons. temperatures are forecast to be warmer as well. highs will reach the 60s and possibly close to 70 degrees in the warmest locations. the storm track returns wednesday. the first storm system to swing through the bay area wednesday afternoon will be weak and we'l
