i'm brianna keilar in for wolf blitzer.ur top story, the prison escape in upstate new york. the prison worker charged with aiding the escape of the two convicted killers was back before a judge this morning. during a brief appearance joyce mitchell had her case moved from plattsburgh city court to clinton county court. she also has a new attorney. andrew cuomo has ordered a full investigation into how the two men were able to break out of the maximum security prison. more than 800 officers are now involved in this manhunt. much of the focus is in the community of katyiville, a few miles east of the prison. and part of the dragnet for these two dangerous fugitives involves multiple police roadblocks throughout the region. that's where we find cnn's polo sandoval at one of the roadblocks in west plattsburgh. police polo at this point they've received more than 900 tips. do they think they have credible information from those tips the men are still in the area? >> much of that information they would keep close to the vest but

joining us gloria borger our senior political correspondent brianna keilar and new york washington correspondental commentator ryan lizza. how does lindsey graham's formal entry into the race sort of shake up this republican contest? >> well it does. talk about great timing for a muscular foreign policy candidate as dana describes him. you have the nsa surveillance debate. you have the iran nuclear talks. you have the question of isis looming over the country. and lindsey graham enters the race as a favorite son and is 7% in the polls in his home state. but he is somebody who can make a difference because if he doesn't win the presidency i don't think there are a lot of people who would give him great odds of winning the nomination he can certainly become a king maker here. he can throw his support behind somebody in the early state of south carolina. so he can have a real impact substantially on the conversations in the republican party, not only on foreign policy but also he has been a force on immigration reform for example. so i say have at it. >> he has the endorsement of his good friend jo

i want to bring in gloria borger and brianna keilar.econd chance? >> voters always like to give people a second chance particularly when it comes to presidential politics. and i think hillary clinton would like to think that voters give people a second chance. rick perry is in a very different place from last time. this sh a guy who skyrocketed out of the box last time but he didn't have a set of beliefs ideas or a campaign. he had anideal. oh he's a governor of the state of texas and maybe he ought to run. this time he spent years kind of honing what he wants to run on and going abroad honing up foreign policy skills. but he's nowhere in the polls. he as at 2% or 3% in iowa. >> got a lot of work. >> nowhere to go but up. >> hillary clinton she was in texas today and she started calling out some of her republican challengers by name. >> she did. we saw hillary clinton who i think she's already being docked in the polls because she's reentering the political fray and she went right into it today. any republican candidate or potential can

let's get more from our chief political analyst gloria borg borger brianna keilar and jeff zulanny, whoables have dropped to 46%, down from 53% in march. her lowest favorable numbers since 2001. is this just a reality of being a candidate? what's going on? >> it is partly the reality of being a candidate. when you say it's down as far as it was in fwoun2001 that's when she got back into really entered the political fray going into the senate. that's certainly part of it. if i'm hillary clinton, what i'm looking at and what i'm concerned about is a dip in certain areas. does hillary clinton inspire confidence. down 9% since march. is she honest and trust worthy down 8%. does she care about people like me that's what democrats and independents who lean democratic were asked. that's down 6 persh%. that's very concerning. maybe the good news for hillary clinton is when people were asked or democrats were asked, is she a candidate of the future does she represent the past or the future more than half said she is a candidate of the future. that's been holding steady since before she declared

let's bring in our chief political analyst, gloria borger and brianna keilar and ron brownstein the editorials there any indication that any of his colleagues while he was speaker of the house, had any indication of the allegations? >>. no i'm talked to former staffers who were in the leadership at the time. former house republicans, current house republicans. and to a person they say they are completely stunned. and shocked by this. i think the question of course that everybody is asking was, did this behavior continue while he was in office? nobody knows the answer to that. >> you covered congress for a long time. any indications at all that anyone was suspicious about this? >> no and i think at first people were feeling shock. now you talk to former aides and they think there's something to this. they they believe that. and so i think they have this very human reaction of just being speaker boehner said dismayed. they're disgusted when you talk to former aides. they didn't have any idea. >> no indication. >> no idea. >> i've covered washington for a long time. no indication. >> let's talk
