brianne: any company that can play into the a buzz will use that.ther that is a marketing thing or key part of their business is a separate thing. when we are looking at reddit, we are looking at their advertising business. as a core social media platform, they generated over $800 million in revenue from advertising last year, up 20% from the prior year. but there's a lot of competition from tiktok, meta, others in the space. i would also say there is investor interest in the social media platforms. we have not seen one of them go public since pinterest in 2019. those stocks have really rallied. pinterest debuted at $10 million, now trading at a $25 billion valuation. perhaps they are hoping to jump on some of that momentum. ed: how much emphasis do you put on the idea that if reddit does pull the trigger, it opens up a broader ipo window for everyone else waiting in the wings? brianne: i think a lot of private companies have been waiting for the hero company to come out and have this vastly successful ipo, welcome others to follow. we have not seen

brianne, welcome.er in the polled and she could on caucus night, and while haley has surpassed desantis, quote, most of the rest of the data here is not good news. can you explain why? >> that's exactly right. you heard priscilla talking about how important enthusiasm is on caucus night in making sure these campaigns can get supporters to turn up in sub-zero temperatures. when we look at nikki haley's enthusiasm, there's a troubling sign for her there. we asked the candidates to kind of describe to us how enthusiastic they are feeling. 49% of donald trump supporters say they are extremely enthusiastic. that is about 23% for ron desantis. brittani kayleigh, it is just 9%. that is a really stark difference. there she is really going to be relying, i think, on her organization, her campaign to make sure her supporters are -- they convince them to come out and they have the rights and resources they need to show up on caucus night. >> there was also a big word here because chelsea are also caused the local

. >> and brianne, you've been in iowa for those cold days.ld fronts. but many times in iowa, a friday cold in iowa is just a friday. but they are calling for subzero temperatures on monday. how do you see this impacting turnout? >> that is exactly right. cold weather in january is not always news here in iowa, but today it is. we're seeing the cancellation of campaign events as candidates are trying to be safe. this is historically bad weather for a caucus day. it is on track to be the coldest in the 50 year history. but what is interesting is what it does to turnout. one thin i'm looking at is just how depressed is turnout. there will certainly be an effect. iowa caucusgoers tend to be a little bit older. this weather is tough to go out in especially if you are older. so if we see widespread depression of turnout, which candidates are overindexing with those caucusgoer, people who tend to draw the older support could see an impact. especially those who draw from more rural areas. it will be harder to get to the caucus site from rural areas.

that being said, i don't think either candidate, and i saw brianne pfannenstiel on with my colleaguestle earlier, nothing happened in this debate. and frankly in the town hall from donald trump that is going to fundamentally move the needle. and a week out from iowa, you are looking for a big shift, a proverbial bomb if you will, that's what folks should be using this last debate to do, to show up strong. and i don't think either one of them did. they showed up small, and i did not see a president on that debate stage. >> i agree. that is the key thing. because in the last three debates -- actually, all of the prior debates. nikki haley, to me, came off as the most presidential. tonight, she start -- she tried. to her credit, she tried to come out with this generational shift argument that she wanted to make. and desantis kept pulling her back and pulling her back to the point where she just became so exasperated with him. and that's the bite we have with her, but you spent all your money, you've fallen down in the polls, that was like a mother chastising her child. >> i hate when the
