i'm bridget carey. this is your cnet update. twitter has tinkered with the timeline, p pling the past into the presest. allow me to explain. one of the main reasons people love e checking twitter is because you see a real-time, chronologically ordered feed of what people are saying, so you can keep up with what is trending this second. but if you follow hundreds of accounts, you will miss tweets posted when you were not logged on. and twitter is now addressing this by showing you older tweets it thinks you care about right on top of your current feed. reports say y out a zen of these older tweeee will be on top of the real-time stream, with oldest showing first. it's as if twitter spread a layer of facebook-flavored frosting on top of your tweet cake, hoping to make it more rolling out now, i don't have it yet, but you'll find it as an option in settings -- and eventually it may be the default for everyone. it's similalain concept to o e while you were away, where twitter shows a handful of posts made by people you interact with

i'm bridget carey. this is your cnet update.***apple tv will soon be stretctcng it's siri powers so you can use your voice to enter in all sorts of searches and even speak your password, instead of hunting and pecking through an on- screen keyboard with your remote, or by reaching for out. the new apple tv already does have siri so you can search for movies or shows by talking into the remote control. but the update lets you use your v vce to search for more things, like apps. the features are not available to everyone yet -- only developers can access these perks in beta version of the new tv operating system, tvos 9. that means most people probably won't see this until the spring. maybe we'll hear more about this next month. its not offical yet, but there e reports that apple is planning to hold a presentationn march 15th to announce new products, and that could be when we hear about updates to the apple watch, a new ipad and maybe even a new smaller screen variation of the iphone.*** land, prepare to see video advertisements

i'm bridget carey. this is your cnet update. facebook has finally opened up its live video broadcast feature to more people. right now, everyone with an iphone in the us can stream live video to their friends on facebook - right from the phone. the network is still working on a version for android. you'll find it inside the status update, just click the icon of a person with a broadcast signal halo - i like to think of it as the holy saint of video - blessed be thy livestream. you create a title, and choose who you want to see it. when your ready, go live. bam, there's no going back - this is happening, you are live. friends can comment in real time and when they do, you should answer them or say video, to be able to interact with questions and comments in real time. you can also like a comment. you can also see how many people are watching. the concept is the same as twitter's periscope, but the comments do not pop up on top of the video. on facebook, it all just sits under the broadcast. i think i like how periscope does it be
