a a a to stop hate against the aapi community, single thread farms and a marketing specialist, bridget changw. thanks for spending part of your afternoon with us. you are organizing a dinner series to raise awareness and fun. had too come up with this as a concept, and how does it work? for, what you start us out? >> the series actually started out in d.c. where to of our colleagues -- they actually reached out to us through a network of friends and through the industry. we decided we wanted to help our community in the area. so andrew and i have been working together, rallying behind a couple chefs in the san francisco bay area and organizing in the month of may. >> so, andrew, what's the goal? >> so i think the goals are -- there are multiple tiers to that. the first one is most important goals are raising awareness about the escalation and the aap i hate crimes. it is also about raising awareness of biases that we all have in our day-to-day interactions. you know, at the end of the day, it is also really a celebration of all these cultures coming together and crating a potluck style meal.

with me about this right now bridget what what's in the wise new senate resolution how far does this all go. state senate concurrent resolution $44.00 declares that climate change is a threat to the environment and humans and requests state wide cooperation in addressing the adverse effects of climate change including rising sea levels and the global temperature coastal erosion and protecting critical infrastructure while the resolution is largely symbolic it also calls on hawaii's government to prohibit private investment and public subsidies in projects that exacerbate climate change like coal oil gas or tree burning it also calls on the government to promote policies and infrastructure to replace fossil fuels with solar wind or battery storage by 2030 the state is taking action based on global scientific evidence and its own climate problems yeah it's a non-binding resolution but at least they're doing something to get out there and say we're paying attention to it our beaches are roading we have sea levels that are rising our infrastructure is at risk and we have to do something even though the feds are doing what they need to do we need to do something on
