[applause] i thought i would begin with why when fallujah was finally won in 2007 from our perspective, it was more of a whimper for those reasons it wasn't covered by the media and hadn't been in the books written about it but at the end of the day it is not important how you finish the war than sometimes how you start it and one of the reasons we want to collaborate is how we felt that chapter and how that u.s. forces learned a lot about the iraqi culture and thus nobody operations and counterinsurgency and there was a process of learning after its repeated we had an understanding of what was required and it may provide lessons for the future against al qaeda and other groups. so we want to write a book that captures the moment that we had the chance to experience in 2007 for six months. if we were able to put this in paper that maybe someday the future units that may have a profound similar task they are not going to read the dry after action report and probably read a memoir, that
