this happened in front of an apartment building at the ash ford at wood lake apartments in the briggsney section of sill verp spring. just a little before 12:30 in the morning police received a 911 call. someone in the area reporting the sound of gunfire in the area. when officers arrived here on the scene, that's when they found a 37-year-old woman. she had apparently been shot to death outside of her apartment building. she was actually found on the cement walkway that leads from the parking lot area to the front door of her apartment complex. this is a sprawling complex here. it's very dernsly populated. a lot of people living in the area. this particular building is an end unit. it's off to the side and it's near a wooded area. it's actually more isolated than other sections of this apartment complex. so police are having difficulty finding witnesses who actually saw something this morning. >> although this is a densely populated area, this apartment building she was found outside is an end unit directly adjacent to a wooded area. this may limit the number of witnesses that may ha
