harry britt is a legend. when you meet him, he was so understated and he was so straightforward and so kind that you really could get a sense that this was the life of politics was something that was not necessarily natural to him but his life story and the things that he had been through and the things he saw that brought him to that. and when i think about the story of san francisco, it is people like harry and people like harvey and it's people who came here and were able to turn san francisco into what we understand and take it for granted as being now. all of us serve on a board and live in a city where there is just an understanding that we are at the forefront of the movement for lgbtq rights. that we are always going to be pushing the boundaries on tenants rights, on human right, on civil rights, and that was something that was not always the case. that it was harvey and it was harry who because they actually experienced the opposite of that and so many other places and even the opposite of that here,
