fox weather meteorologist britta merwin joins us with an update.ry 2 hurricane and the time to prepare, the window is closing. we're anticipating landfall to be late tomorrow afternoon, somewhere along the coastline of louisiana. and for the state of louisiana, this is a big hit. you go back to 2020, we had laura, delta and ida all within years and now we're preparing for francine. the winds forecasted to get up to 100 miles per hour. texas coastline is feeling impacts today. so all preparationses are now in line. we're expecting storm surge with storm surge warnings and hurricane warnings now up for the louisiana coastline, the inland flooding impact, this is going to continue so as we go into thursday we'll be tracking tornadoes and inland flooding all because of francine. there's a look at the hurricane warnings which extend interest cameron to morgan city. we have a tropical storm watch out for new orleans where we will even see some storm surge impact along the shores of lake pontchartrain. we're tracking it at fox weather. download the app an
