nbc 10 meteorologist brittney shipp has issued a first alert for the morning. d we expect? >> we should expect the possibility of freezing rain. it's going to be right over your morning commute time. between 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. those are the areas of concern there for freezing rain snowshowers, and that can lead to icy roadside street bridges and overpasses especially for these areas here highlighted under the winter weather advisory. so that includes trenton just to the north of norristown out to allentown, the poconos and out to redding. and over the morning rush, the possibility is for light freezing rain, a dusting of snow and an icy glaze on routes. you want to be careful. it doesn't take a whole lot of moisture once they hit the surface, it could freeze and cause icy conditions. 80 could be really slippery as you're trying to head to work. you want to take extra precaution. here is how your morn willing break down. by 6:00 a.m. temperatures in philadelphia right at 32 degrees with a slight possibility of freezing rain. and as with we head into the afte

now let's go to brittney shipp for the latest on our weather. >>> temperatures will be more mild, so's going to be a treat, but that's changing heading into the overnight hours tonight. we'll see our temperatures drop below freezing. and all the moisture that is moving into the region will changeover to snow. that temperature will stay down tomorrow into the mid-20s. so colder air is on the way, but first we'll deal with the rain changing to snow that will affect the thursday morning commute. up to six inches is possible in some of the locations throughout the area. i'll go over the details in my full forecast but right now on the radar, this is showing you where the rain is with light rain moving into parts of philadelphia. also the northern part of burlington county and then for the pocanos, we're seeing a little bit of freezing rain. we have the moisture here expect on and off rain showers throughout most of the day. and as we head into the late night hours that's when the changeover will start. i'll go over the details now and
