that is a message that comes from this image right after the reelection of president brock obama in 2012. at the time i was not working on the book quite yet. it seemed to me an artifact in the symbol of this reaction to the reelection of barack obama in 2012. what is that about. when we see these kinds of reactions and this throwback imagery to a previous time what is behind that sense of nostalgia and loss and grief. the book is called the end of the white christian america. to prevent confusion what i mean by this is a metaphor for the cultural institution that was built not exclusively but primarily by white protestant christians in this country it did set the tone for the national conversation and really shaped a lot of american ideals. it would be hard to walk very far without tripping over an institution that was started by the white christian american. it would not be hard to find these things and yet these kinds of institutions in the world that they were a part of has really passed from the american scene. that's what the book is about and you can see this in a number of demogr
