i had a photo of him on my desk, a photo of him and tom brokaw, and it was in this very engaged discussion that was taking place and i would think about what they were saying, and it gets to the dialogue, i think the influence my father had in that respect was, he was very prepared, all the time he would never go into an interview i prepared, if a politician came in unprepared and he would take offense to that. he would think that you are waltzing in and not working. and that e those went back to my grandfather being a sanitation worker, always pulling in overtime, never pr taking her sick days, so for me, that was a mentality that came through which was, ahead of this press conference, did i do enough preparation, ahead of this interview did i do enough preparation, am i living up to the level of work that this craft takes? so that's really where fui felt his guidance the most. thankfully, my mom is also a writer, and she works very hardu but she is having more fun with it. so there's a lot of really interesting components to the job and don't forget to live in the moment and enjoy it but
