never the beautiful mansions in the shadows of general brolin hills. within moments of more than 1500 in 1970 it was one of the larger schools in the state though the majority enrollment was less than 5%. for the first time i was surrounded by the white folks on television, the ones i expected that one side. i was able to attend hall because of the program implemented by the school board called freedom of choice which allow blacks in students attend school or they were and minority and that meant all the city's high schools were open to black students. the once all black high-school, the one of black high school the much love was being face added incident and roll, sophomore class in the fall of 1970. when i entered hall for the first day of class i didn't know what to expect. still with a mixture of joy and self consciousness i wondered whether i have it the right kind of clothes and shoes, with vicodin, i didn't ever remember seeing some of the white people in one place and being so close to them. james brolin is in it. >> like him. >> so, it looks like this whole world that we're talking about, the for clunkers, we're looking at this with a humous lens. it is kind of a spoof. so, when i interviewed jeremy piven -- >> piven, piven. >> -- i asked him how he got into that used car salesman character. >> there's a great documentary called "slashers" about car salesmen that i took a look at. and i went to a bunch of lots and i've also been sold a lot of cars. and i'm what's known as a sucker, and as soon as they see me coming in, they know that they're going to take my money. so, i kind of took that and i reversed that and i'm no longer a sucker. >> he's no longer a sucker. the character's a little bit like the one he plays in "entourage." >> he's really good in this show. yeah, yeah. >> yeah. he is, of course, based on the brother of rahm emanuel. ari. abrasive. i asked him about the long jest of the show, he wants to stick around with it. he even wants there to be a movie. >> nice, i like that good. >> "the goods" comes out in a couple of weeks. maybe this is a little like life imi
