brooke baldwin joins me from atlanta. was so astounding is just a week ago we thought that this was a horrific story, but nothing more than just a horrible accident. but now the district attorney is painting a much grimmer picture. >> oh, people were jumping all over the district attorney in cobb county. there were tens of thousands of people signing a petition wanting the charges to be taken down, at least, a lot of sympathy for this father. you know, people say this kind of thing can happen on accident. but when you start to hear the details today, it may start to change your mind. again, this is just probably cause and bond hearings, there are two sides to every story, but incredibly disturbing, some of the details emerging today. you're looking at his face. he was emotional just a couple of times. this is justin ross harris. this is one of the details we learned today. that he was allegedly sexting with ten different women while his son sat trapped in that sweltering hot car that june day. this is according to one of

i'm brooke baldwin. we begin with the innocent. they were innocent people, flying as passengers on an airplane. some hoping to go on vacation. others seeing family. many just for work. that was six days ago. today, their bodies being returned home and huge numbers of people are honoring them in just the most beautiful ways. these are the victims of malaysian air flight 17, shot down six days ago. the first bodies left k kharkiv, ukraine, and arrived in the netherlands, where the boeing 777 flight originated. 193 of the 298 people on board were dutch. and today the nation of 17 million with their king and queen, recognizing a national day of mourning. ♪ >>> wales of grief could be heard as these 40 caskets reached dutch soil in the netherlands and paid official tribute with sounds from the single bugle here in a solemn ceremony earlier today. and when you looked at the pictures, as you were watching our hours of coverage, just beautiful, the day in netherlands, yet the darkest day in the nation, as well.

i'm brooke baldwin.le in the netherlands and really all around the world mourn, back in eastern ukraine, the war wages on. not far from the wreckage of mh-17, ukraine says two of its jets have just been shot down. and we have video. here it is. which purports to show the shooting, clearly the smoke plumes thereafter. ukrainian officials blame pro russian rebels and an aide to a key rebel leader says rebel fighters brought down the jets using a shoulder-fired missile system. joining me now, colonel rick francona. welcome back. first, ukrainian defense spokesperson says that preliminary information suggests that those missiles were fired from just inside of russia. that would be incredibly brazen. >> it would be also difficult to hit these aircraft from that far away with a shoulder-fired missile. they also said they were flying at around 17,000 feet, which really puts them out of the range of the shoulder-fired stuff. i would think that we may be looking at yet another instance of the use of the sa-11. >>

i'm brooke baldwin. let's get to some news here at cnn. cnn just learned the united states has agreed to resupply israel's military with multiple types of ammunition. what types of ammunition, why specifically. let's go to the pentagon to our correspondent, barbara starr, who has this reporting. tell me what exactly this resupplying of the israeli defense forces really means, barbara. >> hi, brooke. u.s. officials are telling me, they have agreed to resupply israel with ammunition at its request. now, clearly, this is part of the u.s. commitment to the defense of israel, according to administration officials. they say israel is not running out of ammunition, it is not an emergency. but israel has made a request for resupply of several types of ammunition, and the u.s. has now agreed to it. there are two types that we know about. one is 120 millimeter mortar ammunition. the other is 40 millimeter ammunition for grenade launchers. what's so interesting is those two types of ammunition are going to be trans

i'm brooke baldwin.is mobilizing military reserves. some 40,000 troops approved by israel's cabinet today for the conflict raging with gaza's palestinians. and we have just gotten this as we reported a moment ago, air raid sirens are going off on a beach near tel aviv. take a look. tel aviv, that is just this afternoon, no reports of deaths or injuries from in coming rocket fire from gaza. i can tell you that the israelis today also ordered camp said and schools closed within 25 miles of the border there with gaza to protect israeli children from the incoming rockets. those are the small rockets. here you go. fired by hamas at a rate of more than 100 a day with no confirmed deaths. just to give you some contrast here, israeli air strikes with targets in gaza killed at least 15 people overnight. this is according to palestinian sources. flying american-made aircraft. the israelis leveled several homes in gaza and killed a man they call a senior terrorist. in one attack, seven people were killed, including
