it happened on the metro branch trail in the brookline neighborhood. before moving to breaking news in maryland, jackie bensen spoke to a man who had been attacked on that trail before. >> by 6:00 p.m., it's already too dark to see what lies around the next curve on the metropolitan branch trail, but people still have to get home from work. yesterday evening, a woman reported being grabbed from her bike, struck repeatedly and robbed of her wallet, by a man believed to be in his teens or early 20s who ran into the darkness. adam, who commutes on this trail every day, says he's always been targeted here. >> four kids tried to knock me off my bike a year and a half ago. called the cops, they did absolutely nothing. >> wednesday's robbery happened one year after a man was surrounded, assaulted and robbed. police increased patrols after that incident and the number of crimes dropped. but long-time users of the trail say they can almost predict an increase in robberies and assaults after the clocks are turned backor daylight savings time. this almost complet
