i'm brooke baldwin. you're watching cnn. right now we've got to tell you about this manhunt under way for three terrorists accused in a mass killing. these people here managed to escape this rampage, but at least 19 others most of them tourists did not. the siege unfolded at this museum of tunis, the capital of tunisia. obviously, you're looking at pictures for instance side the building here as people were running quite literally for their lives. they were visiting the bardo museum connected to tunisia's parliament hall. 22 other people were wounded, and 2 gunmen were killed. but, as we mentioned, the manhunt, three other terrorists are still on the run. the prime minister here in tunisia is calling their assault quote, unquote cowardly. these images show museum visitors running from the shooting scene, running from a man there actually here clutching his one child heading up the stairs another with another child continuing past them. lawmakers were working nearby when this gunfire erupted. one spoke wi

i'm brooke baldwin.nder way for the gunman who shot the two police officers overnight in ferguson, missouri. i can tell you at least this is some positive news. those two officers are now out of the hospital. but the situation is incredibly tense there and all of this just think of the timing here this comes on the heels of months and months of unrest in ferguson. following the killing last summer of michael brown as those demonstrations gain momentum one police officer, an african-american officer in new mexico penned this open letter specifically to african-american protesters. his name is anwar sanders and said it was, quote, hard for him to sit in silence. let me just read part of this letter that he wrote some time ago. what i think is lost in the raw emotions of ferguson is that we must be careful not to create a deeper chasm between communities of color and law enforcement. the historical skepticism that blacks have of law enforcement has merit but we all have to work together to end institutional

"newsroom" with brooke baldwin starts right now. >>> all right. here we go. i'm brooke baldwin. you're watching cnn, breaking news here in the apparent deliberate crash of that germanwings flight. here's what we now know. this card out of a cell phone was found at the crash site, reportedly contains video of the final terrifying moments on board this flight flight 9525. according to this german tabloid "bild" in a french magazine, they were working together they have this card. in it they have been able to see this video that showed chaos. you could hear the screams, the cries of "my god" could be heard in multiple languages. all of this as we're getting this new revelation about how much this airline, lufthansa, knew about the co-pilot's mental state when they hired him. that airline now admitting after further internal investigations that it knew that andreas lubitz had suffered depression and specifically medical documentation from the co-pilot himself to his flight school a couple years ago about a, quote, previous episode of severe depression. so i have a lot to get through

"newsroom" with brooke baldwin starts right now. >>> all right. here we go. i'm brooke baldwin. breaking news at the top of the show on this tuesday afternoon. i know at first it sounds like a familiar headline but this time it's much much different. a young man, a westerner, accused of trying to enter syria and join isis. this time that young man is not only an american he's a u.s. air force veteran. cnn justice correspondent pamela brown broke the story for us within this past hour. pamela who is he? >> well he's a 47-year-old man, brooke. as you point out, he's an air force veteran. he served in the air force as a mechanic for several years and left in the '90s, moved to texas. according to the criminal complaint we're looking through, he became increasingly radicalized in the late '90s. he then became an engineer for american airlines a mechanic, i should say, for american airlines. in 2001 a former employee he worked with at american airlines tipped off the fbi that he was sympathizing with osama bin laden at time that he made some alarming remarks. so he was put on the fbi
