scott broom is live there now with a look at the trip back. scott, how's it going? >> reporter: well, it's hard to call it a nightmare because there are no major incidents on the major highways coming back from the coast to here at the bay bridge on into d.c. that doesn't mean it's not moving slowly at the normal choke points where 404 comes into u.s. 50 approaching the bay bridge and near annapolis. there are lots of spots where people slowed to a crawl. there will be delays getting home, but thankfully there are no big accidents in the way. temperatures about 85 degrees near the water. that takes us to the other side of the bay, sandy point state park, for folks who couldn't get to the coast. take a look at the pictures. so many thousands of people trying to beat the heat that they had to stop letting people come into the park at 9:40 this morning. the park about reached capacity, 10,000 people and thousands of others in long lines trying to get in the park, clearly many very disappointed they couldn't get there but frankly, the park was too full to the safe. here
