two years ago, she and her unborn baby were shot and killed along the side of a brown county road. now, the only man who investigators have ever connected to the case, is out from behind bars. fox19 now has confirmed that, 52 year-old tommy lee lopez was released from jail last month, after serving time for a drug charge in owen county. according to court documents, a confidential witness told investigators that lopez was responsible for multiple killings, including stykes'. prosecutors tell us despite lopez's release from jail, he remains a person fox19 now legal analyst mike allen, says it's not necessarily unusual. "while it would appear that they have a lot of evidence already on this individual, they probably don't think they have enough yet to get an indictment. you can bet though wherever he is going he is going to be under constant surveillance and sounds like eventually they'll get enough to take it to a grand jury" prosecutors told fox19 now, the stykes' case is still a top priority and they're hopeful an arrest will be made in 2016. we will continue to stay on top of thi

two boys from brown county are alive this morning, thanks to the courage and quick thinking of their neighbors. miriah turner is at the live the heroic rescue. good morning. miriah: the two boys, ages 8 and 12, are recovering this morning at children' s hospital after falling through the ice on a lake. they were treated for exposure and hypothermia, and their neighbors are being credited with saving their lives. pamela neville says she heard cries coming from lake lorelei in brown county and instantly knew something was terribly wrong. she got her husband and her son, john, and they began the rescue. john and his father got into a boat and made their way to the boys, breaking the ice as they went. they managed to get close enough to the panicking boys for john to pull them to the boat. paramedics were on scene by then and aircare transported the boys. again, these boys were being treated for hypothermia and exposure last night, but by the sounds of it, they are lucky to have made it out of such a scary situation with their lives. and they have some very special neighbors to thank for
