thankfully, bruce and his family got through it.bruce has no evidence of cancer in his body, thankfully. with all that behind him, bruce resumed doing what he does best. writing. in his new book, called "the secrets of happy families," chock full of tips on how to improve your family life. what inspired you to write this book? was there a moment when you said i want to write about happy families? >> we were always on the it's , to be a parent these days. you know, just when they stop teething they start tantrums. just when they stop needing our help taking a bath, they need help dealing with online bullying. it's like you're always reacting. i wanted to feel like, i had some new tricks up my sleeve, some new ideas that i could sometimes play off as. with made a list of all the thins the kids have to do in the mornings. and then, and here's the key, they have to check off their own list. so a lot of what we are doing here is trying to kind of bring them into the process. be less top-down, less parental controlling them all the kind,
