bruce boudreaux, fired. hakeem has more on this. >> the players were not responding to bruce boudreaux. it's what george mcfee said. they hired dale hunter. a 51-year-old who was a successful junior coach in canada. he'll try to do what boudreaux couldn't. take a team full of talent and turn them into stanley cup champs. he led the team to their only stanley cup finals in '98. hunter was one of the best junior coaches. as for bruce boudreaux, he won 200 games faster than any coach in modern nhl history. he led the team to playoffs but never made it past the second round. after a 7-0 start, the caps struggled going 5-9-1. the former players emotional after hearing the news. >> when i first found out this morning, my first thought was i wish i could have done more. you know, it's the nature of the beast. it's a business. we understand it. i feel terrible for bruce because he's leaving his dream job. >> i'm a players coach but also the players will know when i'm mad at them. that's the way you have to be to win
