bruce lashan has been covering this trial and he joins us now live from outside d.c. superior court. bruce, what is the verdict? >> reporter: we don't know yet, j.c. we know that we have a verdict, about 12 minutes ago a prosecutor came out of the courtroom on the phone, on his cell phone, calling the prosecutors who actually tried this case and telling them that the jury had reached a verdict. but we will have to wait until they assemble all the parties to this case, bring up ingmar guandique from the lockup down in the basement here at d.c. superior court and then they will read the verdict. and as soon as they read it, we will get word down here out front of the courthouse, and we're going to share it with you just as quickly as we can. i'll tell ya what, the air is electric down here. as soon as glenn kessler, the prosecutor for this other case came out, they were trying another case at the same time and was on the phone, all the reporters that are in the courthouse sitting around here so far for about 3 1/2 days waiting for this verdict just streamed towards the c

. >> go back to bruce lashan who has the latest on the chandra levy trial. >> reporter: this is the picture. it was taken by iris, the then girlfriend in rock creek park. we don't know if it's this specific picture, but it was a picture along these lines taken in the irish park. a very different picture than what most of us are familiar. this is the actual form that the jury is back there -- the first-degree murder and the commission of an attempted kidnapping and a first-degree murder and attempted robbery. they'll have to fill it out, not guilty or guilty, and then, if they find him not guilty on the first-degree charge, they can move down to a second- degree murder charge. jurors did get a whole mess of evidence back in the jury room. . the lawyers spent all morning arguing specifically which items and which testimony allowing jurors to look at. susan levy is in the courtroom, standing by, waiting to hear what the verdict might be nine years -- more than nine years after her daughter disappeared in crock creek park. this has been an awful. >>> all right, bruce -- >>> provide the royal we
