. >> the bruin pipeline disaster exposed serious safety issues with a network of gas lines buried undergroundinvestigators want action from pg&e and they want it fast. lillian kim has the story. >> the national transportation safety board's urgent recommendation to pg&e is simple: make sure its records match what's actually underground. >> pipelines should not be land mines. >> today congresswoman jackie spear who represents the san bruno neighborhood where the pipeline exploded back in september applauds the ntsb's recommendation. up until the blast, pg&e thought the pipe that exploded were seamless. there were drawings suggesting that it was. later the utility admitted its records were wrong. >> they don't know what's under the ground, then they cannot possibly be confident that the pressure that they're using is safe and acceptable. >> in addition to verifying its records, the ntsb wants pg&e to make sure pipes are operating at a pressure based on the weakened pipeline. they suggest pg&e pressure-test any line it's unsure about. they laid out recommendations for regulators too. it urged th
