we're in front of san bruno city hall where moments ago, san bruno mayor announced that the city and pg&e reached a settlement in the amount of $70 million. now, that $70 million will help pay restitution for the san bruno community, to help recover from that tragic accident. the mayor says the money will come from shareholders and not from rate payers. pg&e says the utility company will make the payment within 30 days, and the city plans to create a group to help manage and decide where those funds will go. now, these funds are going to be allocated to the city and are not considered part of citizens lawsuit against pg&e. today's press conference, the mayor urged pg&e to settle those lawsuits quickly as residents work to rebuild their lives. now, the mayor says there is still much work to do rebuilding homes and infrastructure and a hole in the heart of the city that exists physically and emotionally. >> we know that nothing, no amount of money, no amount of apologizes will ever bring back the citizens we lost, the home has that were destroyed, the family heir looms that were burned
