joe bruno, channel 9 eyewitness news. was found shot to death in a north charlotte park, police have a suspect in custody. >> we're live where the suspect is expected to make his initial appearance today at the courthouse. angela? ? >> reporter:es, that's right. now, darnell brown will be here at the mecklenburg county courthouse to face a judge on the charges. he's been charged with murder and murder of an unborn child. now, police say they believe that brown was the last person to speak with 17-year-old before her death. investigators believe that the two were supposed to meet up on the night of the hurt. brown was already in custody for unrelated charges when police brought him in to be interviewed yesterday and that led to these charges. four years ago, her body was found at elder park in charlotte. she had been shot in the head three times. she was also two months pregnant and warrants showed that at the time, she believed that brown could have been the father. for more information about what exactly led them to make

eyewitness news reporter joe bruno found out the fight led to a police investigation. >> reporter: the charlotte- mecklenburg police are investigating after a huge fight broke out in a busy city and it was all caught on camera. check out the video recording, two employees fighting all bringing down chairs and tables with families sitting nearby, and in the second, you can see the employees separating the fight and escorting one woman from the scene. cmpd is investigating what caused the fight, and the person who recorded this said that one woman may have taken something from the other. this happened at the golden corral off north tryon in university city. we showed the video to customers telling us it was completely inappropriate and they have doubts about bringing their kids to golden corral. >> i can't act like that around my kids. i would take them outside. i would take them outside. >> reporter: and we reached out to golden corral for a statement but right now, we have not heard back and will continue to push to find out if anyone was disciplined with eyewitness news starting at 5:

joe bruno is live to explain the clues from three different scenes police have this morning. what are they telling you at this point joe? >> very busy morning for police. in the past 30 minutes they just reopened caps hill mine road. there you see a car going by right notch and police left with an evidence bag. they are investigating three scenes related to each other. i'll show you a map of where they are all located. the first scene on caps hill mine road where a woman was shot in the head. we were here as they searched for casings and evidence. a man was shot at hockey on altitude while he was driving in a white car. we spotted police investigating this car on baities ford road near griers grove road. police were trying to get a and this is in walking distance of this video of a third scene the north cross townhomes where the woman who was shot on caps hill mine road ended up. police aren't sure if she drove herself or was dropped off but police say she is talking with them. >> she had a head injury so it's life threatening but again she is talking and alert. >> we are con
