the fire broke out early this morning in an automotive complex in north brunswick. it prompted evacuations and road closures. jeannette reyes looks at the huge impact it is having in the area. to net: this fire was massive. right now, firefighters are simply just letting it burn. this is mostly what residents are saying smoke coming out of the building. it is under control, however. the five alarm fire broke out around two: this -- 2:30 this morning. it was a huge building about the size of 50 football fields them and filled with cars. we learned toyota uses the facility for car repairs and storage. they melt plastic and other materials that caused numerous explosions at the morning. the shifting of the wind at one point made it even more difficult for firefighters to contain the blaze. the impact was widespread. a major highway, route 1, was closed for a while and nearby apartments raw so evacuated as precaution. take a listen to what one resident had to say about what he saw. >> everyone was standing outside for a little bit, and the cops came -- actually, i was d
