bryan stevenson, i wish we had more time, but we don't.ing on hardtalk. my pleasure. hello again. sunday brought us a mixed picture of weather. there was a bit of rain across northern areas. we had some lovely winter sunshine across parts of the midlands, east anglia, southern england, parts of wales for a time as well. but towards the end of the day, we did rather lose the bright skies in wales, replaced it with some thicker cloud and started to lose the visibility as well. now, right now, we're seeing cloud increase from the west. there's a warm front that begins to push its way in. that is starting to push a bit of patchy light rain and drizzle in across these western areas, but temperatures are rising hour by hour, so it is increasingly turning mild. heading into the first part of monday morning, 10 degrees there in plymouth, but cold in rural aberdeenshire. in some of the deeper valleys, about —5 degrees or so. through monday, this area of milder air is going to slowly creep its way a little bit further eastwards. with that, there cou

bryan stevenson, i wish we had more time, but we don't.pleasure. hello there. high pressure*s kept most parts of the uk dry through the weekend, if rather cloudy, and high pressure has meant a dry start to january 2022, only seeing about 50% half the rainfall we'd normally see by this stage. there's not a great deal of rain in the offering this week, certainly not for england and wales. we might see a little bit more midweek across scotland in particular with a low pressure approaching, but for the meantime, the high pressure is still hanging on towards the south. there's a weather front to the north, and that has given a few millimetres of rain during the day on sunday. it's sinking a little further southwards on monday, but coming into that high pressure, it's a weak affair. there's still quite a bit of cloud around, but where we have the cloud breaks through the night, a patchy frost and some patchy fog as well to watch for and some poor visibility. again, not widespread, but it will take its time to clear at this time of year. then, t

bryan stevenson, i wish we had more time, but we don't.sure. hello. after a fairly grey, drizzly sort of day on monday, more places will see the sunshine on tuesday. clearer air is working its way south across the uk behind this cold front here, which is only slowly pushing southwards. so we've still got quite a lot of cloud around. the cloud and drizzle will slowly clear southwards through the day, so a reappearance of sunshine from the north, but some of us will hold onto the cloudy drizzly conditions all day in the far south. so we start off with quite a contrast in temperature, mild towards the south, but temperatures a few degrees either side of freezing first thing for scotland, northern ireland and the far north of england as well. this is how tuesday is looking then — you can see the clearer skies for much of the uk as this band of cloud and drizzly patchy rain sink south. a bit of mist and murk particularly around coasts and hills for southern england and south wales too, lasting all day. but mild here, 10—11 celsius, in the clear
