the gates opened at six o'clock this morning at two brand new commuter parking lots one and interstate 80 and buchanan and albany. another 8 80 in fruitvale in oakland bay bridge. traffic is back in a big big way. we are routinely on weekdays, seeing traffic volumes at the bay bridge. between 90 and 95% of pre pandemic levels. so today there's another option for some drivers. people can park their cars in these lots to carpool and drive to the city. they can also park to board one of the transits transbay express busses departing daily from the lots. the idea behind that is. to move more people and fewer cars through the bay bridge corridor. last month, more than 3.5 million drivers passed through the bay bridge toll plaza just 300,000 drivers short. of what the traffic volume was in november 2019 before the pandemic, it would take me 17 minutes to get to my work, which is san francisco general hospital. but these days it would take me upwards of 52 an hour. the lots are gated and staffed by parking attendants from six in the morning to eight in the evening monday through friday, it's free to park unt

see is opening new commuter parking lots on either side of the bay bridge monday. a 261 space lot will open up buchanan lot will open below 80 80 and proof bill avenue in oakland and will eventually expand up to 221 spots. is he transits? transbay express bus will stop at the lots. private commuter busses can as well. parking will be free for the next couple of months. but starting in february , parking will cost $3 per day or 60 bucks a month. baseball owners and the players union expect a lockout starting at nine o'clock tonight. that's when the collective bargaining agreement expires and the two sides. do remain far apart on a deal. this would be the first baseball stoppage since the players strike nearly 30 years ago. next year's regular season is tentatively scheduled to begin on march 31st. but under this lockout, teams cannot sign any players in the offseason or allowed them. into the training facilities up next california officials discussing the current drought conditions in our state right now we're going to take a look at the restrictions some cities are putting into place. in an attempt to
