we have been getting reports of several road closures in buckeye. this area extends into a little bit farther into the phoenix and glendale area. right now, as we look at it, the is coming down hard along the loop 303. we have lightning strikes showing up, over 50 as of the last update. we are under a flash flood watch until 11 pm. that means more heavy rain is possible and that could lead to flooding. if you do not have to head out wait until tomorrow. this rain some areas. we have seen so much of it, particularly, in the west valley.>> we mentioned the fear of flooding. this is his neighborhood. the roads are flooded, it is making it really difficult to navigate through the water. >> the west valley, seeing some of the worst of it tonight. >> reporter: this time, the and the winds are blowing, out here in farm country there's no way or area for the water to go. the water cut into the side of the door. it then had to write on into the traffic. it fills these roads with the water. this area was filled, this building, his basement was filled. being o

sheriffs, buckeye police. let's go up top to sky fox. we had the different police agencies here and horse trailers as well, all-er terrain vehicles and trucks of all kinds. police are telling us this is a recovery sort of search, rather than a rescue sort of search. they have searched this area before but they have not disclosed the information as to why they are here at i-10 and they are also searching a couple milesfrom here. meanwhile, the buckeye's police chief spoke to us this morning and here is some of what he had to say. >> the scenario that we're looking at right now is a recovery operation and that is why they are out there and that is why we don't have the community assisting us today. the realistic part of this is it has been a long time. as a law enforcement organization, we have to look at every scenario that is out there. >> reporter: so where different from previous searches, no community member, no volunteers are involved. these are professionals from various law enforcement agencies, federal, county, local, they are all

buckeye cops found jesse wilson in the garage this past april, 4:30 a.m.. body cameras rolling, the department blaring you don't know where you live? what is your name? >>reporter: the neighbor who found him. >> i found him in the bush right there i just woke up and my really seen this. >>reporter: buckeye police contacted her before. she told police the school put him on the bus. that is how police found his house. >> officer fletcher, buckeye police. >> yes i do. >> he is out right here. >>> i saw through the window. he told police he was an ongoing problem. when he lived in avondale he was called to check on the kids. they found all three in a type of harness to keep them from wandering out of their rooms. >> did you climb out your window? >>reporter: jesse did not speak much just told police he was scared. >> he was dressed for school. >> oh my goodness. >> this is ridiculous. >> buckeye police took him home. >> first of all you know better. >> child reunited with his mother. >> he has now been missing for more than a month. police say they do not belie

big storm in buckeye. 79 degrees in buckeye at this time. you take a look at the radar here. we get down close and you can see the stuff coming in from the south and the west over here. we get a look at the lightning. i wanted to get that in. strikes that are happening. look over here as that storm moves in and moves through buckeye where they took a hit tonight. about 1.8 of an inch of rain. almost 2 inches on the ground in the buckeye area. we had pretty intense rains as well south of laveen. when we get into the phoenix area, those amounts come down a little bit but as you can see, there is moisture to come through here. we take you to sky harbor and they are getting moisture. it is thickening up a little bit coming in here. we will see more rain before it is all over. once again in the scottsdale area, comes in pretty thick and it turns to rain and becomes steady rain after that. certainly, a lot of active weather around. you can see the storm system wickenburg at this time. the lightning strikes in the buckeye area where the storm system rolled in. you can see it from th

buckeye police say this searches now more likely a recovery operation. chris grow joins us in buckeye. there are changes happening. >> reporter: that's right. if you remember, volunteers have been helping law enforcement, fbi, and mco for about a month. if you haven't seen, here is a yellow ribbon in an effort to lead jesse home. they been helping law the one behind me in this desert area. starting tomorrow, volunteers will no longer be a part of this because of the likelihood of what they think they will find. buckeye pd announced they believe in this recovery option, the discovery of a body is likely but also say they still hope to find jesse alive. the post also stated stopping is not an option for police detectives, mcso and the fpi. earlier this week, we saw two massive searches but no jesse. we asked neighbors what they've heard and we tried to speak with jesse's mother but she wasn't home. neighbors help the boy will turn up soon. >> i can't believe he hasn't came back home. that's very scary for us. i hope that he comes home. i hope that boy is o

dozen dogs taken from a buckeye home. it all started with a welfare check yesterday but the home owner wouldn't let them in. detective returned today and had a search warrant this time and fox 10's andrew hasbun is live in buckeye with a look at what it was like inside the home. i'm not sure i want to see this. >> yeah, to be honest it's disturbing. two visits to this home here in buckeye, detectives with the maricopa county sheriff's office seized a total of 13 dogs that they poor conditions. again, i want to warn you, the video you are about to see is graphic. shows the inside of the home when deputies went in there with a search warrant this morning. the video is from the maricopa county sheriff's office and it speaks for itself. the home appears to be in awful shape. the 65-year-old woman who lives there did not want to talk to us about the conditions of her house and the way her animals were living. but it was clearly bad enough for mcso to take away 11 dogs this morning. on top of the 11 dogs taken today, two more w

it happened in dunlap near buckeye. raquel cervantes joins us live from the scene. >> reporter: right now, the victim's condition is unknown but here is where it all ended just down the street from the home or the shooting happened on jackrabbit road and county road 85 were deputies have a suspect's car surrounded. deputies say they found the suspect that in his car down the street from where the shooting happened during a get together with family and friends. both men are friends and got into some sort of fight. it's unknown what that was about the victim was shot multiple times and the victim here. deputies have not given us details as to how the situation ended. robert scott has been identified. >> there were multiple shots fired. there is only one victim currently being treated. we do have juveniles at the residence but everyone else is okay. >> reporter: investigating this deadly shooting and they say we can expect an update sometime tomorrow. >>> a phoenix man is recovering tonight after he accidentally shot himse
