today is the grand opening of the new vista point facility in yerba buena island for bicyclist. the new path will be available every day during the week, not just during the weekends. caltrans had blocked that part of the bridge during construction due to heavy duzal fumes and smoke from demlution crews removing the old eastern span. >> you'll still have to watch for fumes. you saw the backup at the bay bridge, but the breeze will blow it clear, i believe. we're showing a smooth flow. i wouldn't say driving is a breeze, but it's not a major problem for any of your commutes. a build through the northbound routes and the south bay. here's 101, 87, and 85. over the last 15 minutes, we have seen the speeds dip to the 50s at times and also slowing by san jose international airport. a pretty typical pattern there. highway 101 having a prubl out of gilroy and san martin. a crash involving two trucks blocking the slow lane has traffic tied up and it has not helped the tie-up in morgan hill where things have slowed down there. and mass transit from the south bay, vta, up through b.a.r.t.
