so, clipper cove is body of water located between yerba buena island and treasure island. it was created in the mid 1930s during the creation of treasure island. source for a lot of the fill material that formed the island. generally speaking, it's a relatively calm water body protected by prevailing winds and waves. it's relatively shallow, between 1 and 5 meters deep. we were not able to locate known dredging since creation and the site of the proposed maria development project, approximately 220 slips, dredging breakwater, and large channel and berthing area. so the study goals were to address in part the board of supervisors resolution. posed with answering two main questions. will the marina project change sedimentation patterns in a way that changes the water depth, and negative affects to eelgrass beds. i'll talk through how we looked at both of those questions and ultimately what we found. first of all, the first thing we did was look at historic sedimentation patterns in clipper cove to look at whether or not the project may result in changes in clipper cove, we w

of course, is still recovering from an earlier crash on the incline before you get inside yerba buena island tunnel. not a great start for the bay brid.e a crash on the lower deck. you can see flashing lights near the middle of the screen. that is blocking the two left lanes eastbound 80 before to bu bay area. we're devoting this week to b.a.r.t. >> rider satisfaction is at one of the lowest levels. common complaints include dirty trains, crime and drug use. >> more police presence. i mean, there needs to be somebody walking around so people know they can't jump the gate or can't intimidate somebody on the train. >> many b.a.r.t. riders want more police officers patrolling b.a.r.t. stations but even with police around, the law is not always enforced. last night dan noyes spoke with a man at san francisco civic center b.a.r.t. station who admits he uses drugs in front of police. >> can i ask you what type of drug was it? was that crack? >> no. fentanyl. any time that i've had the police come up and see me, they usually say, hey, put that away. >> abc 7 news documented the experience on all b.

the vitality and again the longevity of the treasure island and the yerba buena islands are actually encumbered on the proper maintenance of the 300 plus acres of parks, the largest in the history of san francisco. i think the takeaway -- it's unfortunate that some of our commissioners were not part of that delegation to new york, because the exercise there was to look at signatures, iconic parks throughout the country. what the genesis are, what are the models, successful models that people are utilizing to maintain these parks. parks are extremely very expensive. one of the mistakes that people in san francisco finally realized, when the san francisco development agency was dissolved, they had created all of these parks. and even as i speak, the city is still grappling with the maintenance of all of those parks. here you have all of these assets, all over the place throughout the city. and we do not know what they're going to look like in 20 years' time and even don't talk about the 30 years. we have the responsibility here at this agency for the maintenance, for some of the spaces

westbound 80 just before the treasure island yerba buena. folks heading into san francisco, we had a box truck that lost control and hit the barrier. we got the update from chp. there are no injuries. everyone is okay. just that box truck was involved. you can see the police activity there. they're letting the two left lanes by. the three right lanes will probably be closed for the next 30 minutes or so. we're keeping a close eye on that one. we have another crash in the east bay as well. westbound 24 before you get inside caldecott tunnel before fish ranch road. was a two-vehicle crash, then one of the vehicles went off pretty far on the right shoulder. one is still blocking a lane. two more vehicles came along and hit the vehicle still in the lane. possibly have injuries here. they were holding all traffic. they just released three lanes. two lanes getting by. day backup there as well. next traffic update in ten minutes. >>> the dixie school district in san rafael will keep its name, at least for now. hundreds crowded the meeting to expres

everything from oceanside to southeast plant and all the computations including treasure island and yerba buena. we have all the preventative responsibility, maintaining maintenance and also keeping up with work orders from operations. i would say one of the things fortunately for me is the staff is incredibleably motivated. the staff here knows what to do, how to do the job safely, and it makes my job incredibly easy. >> they know the job, and they know the challenges, and i think it's all about personal pride. they want to do a good job. from our maintenance group to our i.n.c., dedication to the people. when they're going home, and they're crossing the bay bridge, and they get a call that there's a problem with a pump station on treasure island, they return to work. they turnaround in westbound traffic and get back to work and get this pump back in line, and i can't tell you how much that means to me as a boss and the city and county of san francisco. >> as a group, if they didn't do what they do, the streets would be flooded with waste and gray water, and it could become a health hazard. we
