i'm a fifth grade parent at buena vista. i drafted a letter that was signed by 45 parents in one day about this supposed k.a. continuation versus merger with horseman. i amended by application to the district to attend this buena vista horseman model that the district described based on the meetings with veronica chavez and now we were told recently by hydra who attended a meeting that it is not really a continuation. it is a merger. it is a marriage. while the marriage, we didn't know until we got to the altar and we have made our decision and we didn't know who we were marrying and i find it really, really disdain -- that the communication could have been this bad. we at this meeting that hydra attended, a majority of the parents there suddenly became aware that oh, well, we're going to delay it. we're going to save 22 general ed seats for horseman. and which meant basically we're not continuing your emersion for three for years and that this isn't really a continuation of buena vista. a k.a. in the mission, which was how

we first wabt wanted to know if there was even an interest in the buena vista community. we know historically even when i was a principal here 20 years ago, buena vista wanted to be a k-8 school. the opportunity was available and we thought we would provide that opportunity if we could make it work. the committees in terms of parents who have asked to be involved, we obviously, we have asked -- to be in charge to have committee so that she doesn't have -- intent at this time to apply for the position so we thought that would be a good person to be the liaison to do the planning. guadalupe has been in charge of that area but we are going to have a very open process and procedure to engage the community in selecting the principal and that you have my firm word on and our commitment on it. i hope this helps to clarify some of those issues. you know, we are working on trying to get committees together on developing the program and the plan. so you will be hearing more about that from the area superintendent there. guadalupe guerrero. thank you. >> thank you. item k is the adv

at the irish flau held at the w windham buena vista in orlando, flas and irish from britain, irelandorida was organized by a company called enjoy travel who for many years have been organizing similar events in ireland and similar locations around the world. over the last 15 or 20 years we've taken irish music and dance to many locations around the world. initially started off with spain, portugal, and italy. in addition we've been to australia around the world a couple of times. we've even danced in fiji, and just recently we had a cruise up the nile. people started coming on the events literally from all over the world. most of them would come from ireland. a huge contingent from the u.k. over the last few years we've been enjoying increasing numbers from the u.s. >> all of them are irish descent. and they find that by going on the holidays they're having able to enjoy all of this, and enjoy what a new country or new location has to offer as well. ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ >> the enjoy travel tours have been a long time success running several times a year in different locations. ♪ >> this is th

. >> police commissioners and the chief, i represent the buena vista neighborhood association. since the group was founded, the captain did a good job in getting a central outline of what cpabs do. a couple speakers before me made some points i already had on my list. we represent a number of neighborhood organizations and other groups, such as youth and family service providers in the area, which includes the inner sunset, the haight, and portions of the western addition. we come together and move our organizations. we are trying to get more communities which have not always joined in these collaboration's before. two key changes in captains and command staff, our cpab has been building a solid working group that collaborates amongst ourselves. what we get as our community knowledge and roots in the community, which adjust priorities. we do hands on problem solving. we have moved a dozen issues. we have suggested priorities for traffic enforcement. we have worked in facilitating high-definition video for merchants who have been suffering shoplifting. the cpab members will make
