buffalo, new york is bracing for the temperatures coming.es approaching 60 degrees today. heavy flooding expected into tuesday with up to 6 feet of water after the city was buried by 7 feet of snow last week. alexandra field has more. >> reporter: deb, they are preparing for the possibility of flooding. all this preparation is happening at the stockpile in the state. equipment has been coming into the area. you can see the 50 boats that have been brought in. emergency personnel from municipalities from around the state have been brought in. 160,000 sand bags have been brought in along with generators and water pumps. the goal before the temperatures begin to spike is to remove as much snow as possible. 80,000 tons of snow have been taken out of south buffalo. the goal is to clear out the storm drains which are filled with snow. that could help mitigate the risks associated with flooding. people in the area are told to clean out the basements in the possibility of flooding. the governor says that anything that can be done is being done. more
